Happy Reid!

In our kitchen here...in mid-December, we had a neighborhood Holiday progressive party. After drinks and appetizers at another neighbor's house, we moved to our house for the drinks and main course (we spiced it up with some Chef-Shannon tacos and homemade sauces and from scratch pomegranate margaritas, yum!), then we moved to the last neighbor's house for more drinks and dessert. A fun night!

Some more friends in our living room enjoying some food and laughs.

Safety first! Our fireman friend and neighbor used our salt shaker to melt some ice on our front steps. (normally not the salt one uses, so now we are stocked up on bags of salt in our garage!)

Amy and Reid on Christmas Eve, getting ready to go over to the neighbors for some food and celebration.

Christmas Eve at our kind and welcoming neighbor's house (who adopted us for the evening 'cause we are orphans here in NJ). Reid is playing with his new crocodile toy. He likes crocodiles and alligators, so I am thinking we should head to Florida to check out some for real! Chris thinks I am crazy, but I assured him that we didn't need to pet any, but just observe them at a distance...

I love my new train accessories! (added to the 2nd Birthday train extravaganza)

Check out my new car! It is super cool (and plays really loud music so I only have a limited time to turn it on and play with it until mom's attention span for it wears off). ;)

The Christmas morning aftermath! Let's leave it all and go into the city! (NYC)

Christmas day fun at Rockefeller Center in NYC! After a lifetime of seeing it on tv, here we are at the tree!

The whole scene at Rockefeller...I have to say the ice skate rink looks much bigger on tv! You wouldn't believe the line to go skating either. It is quite small, so they limit your skating time as well. We didn't ice skate by the way, we weren't quite sure we should put a 2 year old on skates...

We went for lunch after the Rockefeller visit, still in NYC. Reid is waiting for some food!

Winter break...Chris and I both had quite a few days off, which was nice. So lots of jammies time. Good morning Reid!

On one of our day trips, we hit the Jersey Shore before some hiking. It was a beautiful day, hello Atlantic Ocean! We are such West-Coasters, we still have to remember that the coast is on the east now.

Amy, Reid, and the shadow of Chris...

Onto hiking, at the Highlands near the Jersey shore.

Reid spent quite a lot of time out of his backpack, he looooves hiking! (which makes mommy very happy!) Reid running ahead in front of me here.
